Why this tool is useful
Prepare a smaller cross-browser import after years of repeated saves without granting an extension access to the live bookmark database or sending the export to a service.
Remove repeated destinations from an importable browser bookmark HTML export while preserving the first copy, folder hierarchy, titles and dates; no bookmark is visited.
Ready. Your working data stays in this browser.
Files and capture streams stay on this device. Processing uses browser APIs only; nothing is uploaded to YTSave, the media API or a proxy. No server copy is created, stored or left to delete. The file picker is cleared when processing starts, and disposable worker memory is destroyed after completion or cancellation. Preview and generated-output memory is released when you clear the tool or leave the page.

The first bookmark for each exact or conservatively normalized destination wins; a fresh escaped Netscape HTML document is generated from the retained local folder tree.
Choose normalized matching to treat tracking-only and fragment-only variants as one destination, inspect the removal count, then download a file ready for browser import.
The calculation is deterministic and explains validation errors instead of silently changing invalid input.
Input and output remain in this tab. Copy and download happen through browser APIs without a server upload.
Every run reports its tool mode, timestamp and input/output size so transformed data can be audited.
