Device Orientation Sensor Tester

Read permission-scoped browser orientation and motion events for a short local session and report the angles and acceleration fields actually exposed.

Ready. Your working data stays in this browser.

Why this tool is useful

Use this tester on a phone or tablet to confirm that browser orientation events respond when the device is tilted, rotated or moved.

How it works

After any permission prompt required by the browser, the page listens briefly for deviceorientation and devicemotion events. Values stay in the tab and listeners are removed on clear or exit.

Practical example

Hold the phone upright, start the test and slowly rotate it. Alpha, beta and gamma should change if the browser and device expose the corresponding sensors.

Validation

The test reports only browser-observable events and measurements; it does not invent hidden hardware health, temperature or manufacturer specifications.

Privacy boundary

Input and output remain in this tab. Copy and download happen through browser APIs without a server upload.

Result passport

Every run reports its tool mode, timestamp and input/output size so transformed data can be audited.
