Mouse and Trackpad Event Tester

Inspect pointer movement, primary and auxiliary buttons, double clicks and wheel direction inside a bounded browser test surface.

Ready. Your working data stays in this browser.

Why this tool is useful

Use this tester when a mouse button double-clicks unexpectedly, the middle button is uncertain or a trackpad scroll gesture appears to reverse or skip.

How it works

The test surface counts local PointerEvent, click, double-click and wheel signals. Coordinates and counters stay in memory and stop updating when the session is cleared.

Practical example

Move across the panel, click each available button and scroll in both directions. The summary reports observed button numbers, distance and signed wheel totals.

Validation

The test reports only browser-observable events and measurements; it does not invent hidden hardware health, temperature or manufacturer specifications.

Privacy boundary

Input and output remain in this tab. Copy and download happen through browser APIs without a server upload.

Result passport

Every run reports its tool mode, timestamp and input/output size so transformed data can be audited.
