Text Line Justifier

Distribute spaces between words so each eligible line reaches an exact character width, while preserving blank lines and final short lines.

Ready. Your working data stays in this browser.

Why this tool is useful

Use this formatter for plain-text reports, terminal notes or fixed-width drafts where complete lines need aligned left and right edges.

How it works

Each non-final line is split into words, then the browser allocates the exact number of required spaces from left to right. Lines that cannot be expanded safely remain unchanged.

Practical example

Set a width of 42 for a paragraph containing several words. Complete lines reach exactly 42 Unicode characters while its final line stays naturally short.

Validation

The calculation is deterministic and explains validation errors instead of silently changing invalid input.

Privacy boundary

Input and output remain in this tab. Copy and download happen through browser APIs without a server upload.

Result passport

Every run reports its tool mode, timestamp and input/output size so transformed data can be audited.
