Motion Blur Visual Test

Move a high-contrast target at a chosen CSS-pixel speed while measuring browser frame cadence for a bounded visual motion comparison.

Ready. Your working data stays in this browser.

Why this tool is useful

Use this visual test to compare perceived trailing and readability at several speeds after changing a display response-time, refresh-rate or overdrive setting.

How it works

A local requestAnimationFrame loop moves one CSS target across a clipped track for at most a few seconds and summarizes observed timing. It is a comparison aid, not a hardware diagnosis or response-time measurement.

Practical example

Run the same 480 CSS px/s pass before and after changing a monitor setting, keeping brightness and viewing distance constant, then compare the target edges by eye.

Validation

The test reports only browser-observable events and measurements; it does not invent hidden hardware health, temperature or manufacturer specifications.

Privacy boundary

Input and output remain in this tab. Copy and download happen through browser APIs without a server upload.

Result passport

Every run reports its tool mode, timestamp and input/output size so transformed data can be audited.
